The sauce boat is supported by an oval pedestal base, and features a gracious shaped rim, trimmed with an applied foliate & perle border, and a striking, finely detailed, 'flying' swan head figural handle. As with the rim and base, the attached stand is edged with a foliate & perle border. Elegantly crafted from the highest quality silver, it is stamped on body, base, borders and stand, with the French Minerve 950, and maker's mark for BOULENGER, active in 1899, rue du Vert-Bois, Paris. Condition is excellent.
